Located in the heart of the Hamptons in New York, this project was a design/build by ASUL with Martin Architects providing the schematic design. After collaborating on the initial design, ASUL was responsible for developing the permit and construction documents and acting as the general contractor.
With a reasonable but restrictive budget, the clients wanted a modern but economical design while pursuing LEED certification. The home consists of three levels: a basement for family activities, a primary level for public interaction, and an upper level for private space.
The exterior of the home centers around the existing pool; the kitchen area opens to a covered patio for outside dining that is framed by a linear fireplace on one-side and and an outdoor shower on the opposite side.
